Music at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church
Music is an integral part of Sunday worship at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Music is celebrated weekly in a beautiful, century-old sanctuary and played on the historic, 4,551 pipe Berghaus Organ.
There are many opportunities for children and adults to express their faith through music.
We invite all school-aged children of Holy Trinity to participate in several worship leadership opportunities throughout the year, scheduled on an ad hoc basis. This may involve vocal/instrumental solo work, small or larger groups and collaborations with existing choirs as well as the Praise Troupe.
Trinity Bells is the adult handbell choir. It participates in the Sunday morning worship services approximately once each month. Rehearsals are held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays in the Choir Room. All are welcome to join. However, it is helpful to be able to read music.
| Trinity Brass
Trinity Brass is an ensemble of brass players who participate in worship services several times throughout the year. Rehearsals are held as announced.
| Trinity Choir
This adult choir sings a wide variety of music at the 11 a.m. Sunday worship services. Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings from 7:30-9 p.m. In addition to leading worship, they also participate in special musical events, often jointly with other church choirs in the community.
| Praise Troupe
The Praise Troupe is a group of elementary and pre-teen students who study dance and choreography to be used during Sunday worship services and at other special occasions. The Troupe performs several times a year during worship, at mother and daughter events and at special Sunday School pageants.
