The Arts @ Holy Trinity is a ministry and outreach program sponsored by Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron, Ohio.  Now in its 35th year, the annual concert series presents a wide range of musical styles and talents.  In addition to attracting nationally renowned performance artists for the annual concert series, Arts @ Holy Trinity also provides art education outreach in the local community to foster growth of the performing and visual arts.

We invite you to attend one of our concerts, and to learn more about our important work in preserving and celebrating our shared cultural heritage.  Please consider supporting our work by making a donation.

Meet-the-Artist Event

Arts @ Holy Trinity is happy to announce our first meet-the-artist event of the season!  We will kick off on Sunday, October 28 with the Baltimore Consort event beginning at 4:00 P.M.  Following the performance a limited-seating meet-the-artist meal will be served at 6:00 P.M.  Tickets are $25 and can be purchased below - ticket holders will enjoy preferred seating during the performance.  A traditional Scottish meal will be served (MENU).  Nursery care is also available from 3:30 P.M until 7:30 P.M.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Founded in 1980 to perform the instrumental music of Shakespeare’s time, the Baltimore Consort has explored early English, Scottish, and French popular music, focusing on the relationship between folk and art song and dance. Their interest in early music of English/Scottish heritage has also led them to delve into the rich trove of traditional music preserved in North America.

Performances are held in the beautiful, century-old sanctuary of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in downtown Akron.  Presentations that include organists feature our historic Berghaus Organ, a gift from the Seiberling family that features 4,551 pipes.
 
Starting times are as noted.  Doors open 30 minutes before each performance.  A special reception with the artists conclude each event.  A freewill offering will be received at each performance to support the concert series.
 
Regional artists will soon be featured in the adjacent gallery space to enhance our experience of and appreciation for the arts.  Watch this space for more details in the future.

Les Delices Joins Arts @ Holy Trinity!

imageAcclaimed Cleveland early music ensemble Les Délices (Debra Nagy, Artistic Director) launches its 10th Anniversary Season that includes a new four-concert series at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church beginning on October 4.  Known for their creative, original programming, Les Délices (pronounced Lay day-lease) has been recognized as "an early music group with an avant-garde appetite," whose concerts and recordings are journeys of discovery (New York Times).  For more information go to www.lesdelices.org or email info@lesdelices.org.
