LOADS OF LOVE LAUNDRY MINISTRY
Helping our neighbors ... one load of laundry at a time.
“Let all that you do be done in love.” – 1 Corinthians 16:14
We believe care for our neighbors happens in simple, meaningful ways. The Loads of Love Laundry Ministry was created to offer practical support, compassion, and dignity to individuals and families in our community who may be struggling to keep up with the cost of laundry.
On the last Wednesday of each month, volunteers from our congregation provide a free laundry service from 5-7 p.m. at Holland’s 24-Hour Laundromat, 1506 S. Arlington Street, Akron. This outreach ministry pays for the washer and dryer use of everyone at the laundromat during this two-hour period.
NOTE: November and December dates are typically a week earlier due to the holidays.
Loads of Love is more than washing clothes. It is about sharing kindness, building relationships, and reminding people they are seen, valued, and loved. Whether someone is facing financial hardship, a difficult season, or simply needs a helping hand, this ministry offers encouragement and hospitality without judgment.
We believe small acts of love can create lasting hope. A clean outfit for work, fresh bedding for a child, or a warm conversation while waiting for laundry can become moments of care that restore dignity and renew spirits.
Want to help? The Loads of Love Laundry Ministry welcomes support through volunteers and prayers. To learn more, contact Gregg Loesch, Sandy DeLuca or call the church office at (330) 376-5154. Together, we can help lighten the burden for our neighbors and share Christ’s love in practical ways.
