HOLY TRINITY MINISTRIES

Coming together to serve our neighbors.

OUR PRIVILEGE TO SERVE

Every one of our ministries requires volunteers, so there are plenty of ways to get involved. Whether you are looking for something ongoing or just a one-time volunteer opportunity, our church has ways you can help.

The DLM Food & Resources opened its doors in October 2017. It was inspired by the life and work of longtime Holy Trinity member, Debra L. Manteghi (1951-2017). For more than 20 years, Debra directed Project RISE, a program of Akron Public Schools for students and their families experiencing homelessness. DLM provides food, clothing, and other vital resources while recognizing the dignity of everyone we meet, respecting the challenges people face, and being open to the gifts everyone has to offer. We are genuine people delivering heartfelt service.

DLM is a collaborative ministry of Holy Trinity, Project RISE, In One Piece Ministries, and other partners.

In 2016, Holy Trinity established a relationship with Robinson Community Learning Center (CLC) in Akron. Working with the teachers and administrators, we have been able to provide love and support to an elementary school population in one of Akron's most at-risk neighborhoods.

Families oftentimes struggle to provide the basics for their children, and this can have an impact on student learning. Holy Trinity helps by hosting an array of special events and activities for students and their families that support academic improvement and success. In addition, Holy Trinity works closely with teachers and staff to help encourage regular student attendance and to help empower parents by providing resource information.

In loving memory of Ernest (Ernie) W. Liska and his devotion to God, country, and service to others, Holy Trinity established The Ernie Liska Memorial Scholarship to provide financial assistance to individuals who plan to earn a college degree, university degree, or become certified in a vocational/building trade and aspire to utilize their education to serve their community.
