MUSIC

Music is an integral part of life and worship experience at Holy Trinity.

MUSIC IN WORSHIP

Our worship music supports the message we read from God’s Word each week. We strive to offer God our best – not only with what music we select, but with how we present it. Choirs, small groups, and soloists (both vocal and instrumental) enhance our musical expressions of prayer and praise.

SHARING YOUR MUSICAL GIFTS

Do you enjoy singing or playing an instrument? There is a place for you in our several musical groups:

  • Trinity Choir is our vocal ensemble for teens and  adults.  The choir sings every Sunday during the school year and for occasional midweek/festival services. Rehearsal is Thursday at 7:30 p.m. September through May.

  • Trinity Bell Choir rings handbells and chimes monthly throughout the school year. Rehearsal is Thursday at 6:30 p.m. September through May.

  • Trinity Brass plays for festival services throughout the year, rehearsing as needed prior to those occasions.

  • Trinity Drum Circle welcomes participants of varied skill sets and ages. This group leads occasionally in worship throughout the year.  Holy Trinity has a limited number of drums available for use;  participants are welcome to use their own instruments.  The rehearsal schedule varies.

HOLY TRINITY'S PIPE ORGAN

In 1915 F.A. Seiberling, co-founder of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, purchased an organ from the M.P. Moeller Pipe Organ Company for installation in the sanctuary of the new building of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in memory of his parents, John & Catherine Seiberling, themselves charter members of the church. Portions of this instrument still function as part of the organ today. The Seiberling family cared deeply about celebrating and sharing the best of the arts with people in their community. We continue that tradition in the present day. The Berghaus Organ Company of Bellwood, Illinois, provided additional capabilities for an already expansive instrument in the early 1980s. Renovations continue under the care of Leek Pipe Organ Company of Berea, Ohio.

The Arts @ Holy Trinity is one of our primary ministry and outreach programs.  Now in its 39th year, the annual concert series presents a wide range of musical styles and talents.  In addition to attracting nationally/internationally renowned, award nominated/winning performance artists for the annual concert series, Arts @ Holy Trinity also provides art education outreach in the local community to foster growth of the performing and visual arts.

We invite you to attend one of our concerts, and to learn more about our important work in preserving and celebrating our shared cultural heritage.
